Toit Events
PROJECT GOALS
Toit runs a series of large scale biking and running events in Canada. Best known for their annual GranFondo (“big ride”) cycling events, Toit came to us looking to create half a dozen sites, economically and on a pretty tight time frame. They wanted a lot of freedom to update almost every component of their sites.
OUR APPROACH
We created a really versatile design template that suits the broad range of Toit events. By making some small changes—to colours, banner and images—each site has its own distinct feel, though they are all use the same template. Our team built all the sites on a single Drupal framework, creating even more economies for the Toit team, and making it really easy to maintain.
The sites include a few custom features built onto the Drupal framework, including a mass gallery upload function, so that images can be quickly loaded following an event and a customized homepage slideshow function that integrates both images and video.
RESULTS
These sites all have a really distinct look but feel like part of one family. The client has a huge amount of flexibility to edit almost every component. We used the same Drupal platform to create a custom Facebook tool, allowing event participants to vote on which charity their title sponsor should support.
