Mustang Survival
Project Goals: When we first met the team from Mustang Survival they had a database-driven website that was really hard to maintain. There was heaps of content—mostly product information for their line of PDFs—and it was difficult to navigate. They serve three very different audiences: recreational, professional (in law enforcement and coastguard), and military. And because they are a manufacturer, their most important task is to connect customers with dealers.
Our Approach: We worked with our partners Veratta who created a powerful design and intuitive information architecture. With that great launching pad we built a site that’s user-friendly on both the front and back end. Customers can search for a PDF by categories: recreational activity, occupational need or product type. We created a really cool dealer locator that lets users find their nearest dealer on a searchable map.
Results: The new-and-improved mustangsurvival.com allows customers to engage with the Mustang product line in a simple, effective way. Customers can find exactly what they’re looking for, and an open-source CMS means the Mustang team can maintain their product listings and their dealer network online in one central spot. The site showcases all the unique features that put Mustang above their competitors. It keeps on the cutting edge and secures their position as the market leader.
