British Columbia Safety Authority
We partnered with our friends at OutsideIn Communications on this project. The BC Safety Authority is a former Crown corporation and now a non-profit that is responsible for administering safety standards across the province of BC. This was a large project, with an ambitious scope and, as such, it spanned several months. We worked closely and collaboratively with the Safety Authority to develop their goals and objectives and re-engineer the user experience from a client-focused perspective. We needed to consult with multiple stakeholders to ensure the new website met their needs.
The new website offers a much cleaner interface and unique and relevant functionality. The ability for users to sign-up for Notifications helps to meet the Safety Authorities mandate to educate and communicate safety standards to the public. Forms and Fees are now organized in specific views that relate directly to the process the client is interested in.
The new BC Safety Authority website is much better positioned to help the public perform a variety of (often) complex steps required to ensure they have the necessary permits, licenses or certifications.
